Community Table

Community Table Drop-In Vendors

Do you ever wish you had a way to pass those extra veggies from your garden or those clothes your kids have out-grown on to someone who can use them, and get something you can use in exchange? The Cully Collective Market Community Tables will provide an open space for neighbors to buy, sell or trade products they bring to the market—without having to commit to being a seasonal vendor or hold your own garage sale.

What can I bring?

Bring produce, arts and crafts, clothing, household products…just about anything you would like to sell or trade with your neighbors, with the following exceptions: prepared foods, large appliances, gas-powered items, and weapons. All items must be of acceptable quality and in working order, as determined by CCM staff.

At the Produce Community Table you are welcome to sell fresh fruits and vegetables which you grew yourself. If you want to sell fresh produce which you did not grow yourself, you must know the person who grew it personally and post the information of who the grower is and how to contact them. Canned items, prepared foods, hot foods can only be sold by registered seasonal vendors who have the appropriate permits. You may not accept SNAP (food stamps tokens), WIC, or Farm Direct Nutritional Vouchers unless you have been trained and have your own stamp.

At the Rummage Sale Community Table you are welcome to sell handcrafted items, small household items, books, music, and clothes. Large, heavy items can not be accepted because of logistic reasons. Dangerous items including weapons and gas powered items may not be brought to the market.

How does it work?

Check in at the market info booth when you arrive. You will be asked to fill out a form describing your items, sign a waiver accepting responsibility for any accident, illness or injury caused by what you bring, and leave an ID or a $10 deposit. Once you sign in, set up at your assigned table space—one table for produce and the other for non-food products—and trade or sell to other market customers.

What happens if I don’t sell my stuff?

You’re responsible for everything you bring, meaning you must clean your table space and take everything you are unable to sell or trade with you. Your ID or deposit will be returned once you’ve cleaned up and are ready to go. Extra produce ONLY can be donated at the CCM info booth, to be sold as a fundraiser for the market or distributed to food pantries.

Who sets prices? How do trades work?

It’s up to you! The CCM simply provides the space; you and your customer determine a fair exchange, whether in cash or as a trade.

How do I check-in to sell at a Community Table?

If you want to be a Drop-In Vendor, bring what you have to the market any time during market day. You’ll then check in at the Information Desk and a market representative will check you in. The market representative will:

  • Ask you what you have brought to sell, and make sure it fits the market guidelines.
  • Assign you space at the Produce Community Table, Rummage Sale Community Table, or both.
  • Ask you to sign an agreement and provide a small deposit.
  • Give you directions on how to clean up your space and check out when you are done selling.

When you are done selling, you’ll report back to the Information Desk and a representative will:

  • Ask you to report your total sales for the day.
  • Verify that you’ve cleaned up your space.
  • Take any feedback you have about the market.
  • Return your deposit.

How Do I Clean-Up

You are expected to leave your Community Table space as you found it. This means that if you brought in items that you didn’t sell and which do not qualify for donation to the CCM, you must take them home with you!
