We’re looking forward to another great market day Saturday, July 24th from 9:30 to 1:30 PM. Word is really spreading about the market! This week we got written up in Neighborhood Notes Our second week showed that vendors overall made almost twice as much money as they did the first week, and we had nearly double the customers, too! Thanks for coming out!
This week you can look forward to seeing the following vendors:
- Cully Neighborhood Farms with produce grown on site!
- Aichele Farms – beautiful berries from Hermiston
- Schmidt’s – Homemade personal care products in reusable jars & no synthetic ingredients
- Blooming Earth Farms – Great greens and herbs
- Butterfly Spot – Gorgeous flowers with a variety of vegetables familiar and exotic, throughout the season
And… your neighbors! It looks like one of our community vendors will be transitioning into a full time vendor with her tamales and hand crafted jewelry and tops, I know I’ll be there with potatoes from the garden, and we can’t wait to see who else turns up.
We’re holding our second market on Saturday, July 17th at 5520 North East Killingsworth! Our first market last Saturday was a big success; this week we have vendors selling vegetables, flowers, berries and more, as well as YOU – our neighbors bringing your wares to the Community Tables.
Make It Your Market! The Cully Collective Market is a unique market in the Portland area because its success rests in the active participation of the community. There are many ways to be involved – selling or trading your goods with neighbors at the Community Tables; visiting our vendors booths; listening to music or showing off your skills during our open mic session; learning about local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations in our neighborhood; taking your kids to do crafts in our kids’ area; or meeting your neighbors and learning about events at the Community Board.
Another great way to get involved: We are looking for a few good volunteers to lend their time and skills to help staff our Saturday markets. Responsibilities include help with set-up and/or clean-up of the market, directing market-goers and answering their questions, and running the Cully Collective Market info booth. We’d love it if you want to stay for the entire time (8am-2pm), but we are also looking for folks who are interested in taking 3 hour shifts (8am-11am or 11am-2pm). To volunteer, just send us a quick email with your name, phone number, and email address, what skills you’d like to offer, and what kind of volunteer opportunity interests you and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible.
Don’t forget to tell your family, friends, and neighbors that the Cully Collective Market is on Saturdays 9:30am-1:30pm, continuing on Saturdays through September 18th, (except for August 14th). Please be sure to forward this message along to them. Our community market will be what we make it – it’s up to us!
See you there!

Hi Cully Friends and Neighbors!
You may have noticed a change to the website! We’re working on making it easy to find the information you need about the Cully Collective Market. If you want to access the old site, you can find it at http://cullyfarmersmarket.ning.com/ If you notice that this site is missing important information, or you have questions, please contact us!
Welcome to the Cully Collective Market’s website!
A group of Cully residents and organizations have joined together to improve our neighborhood’s access to fresh, healthy, affordable food by creating the Cully Collective Market. We hope this outdoor market will become a community gathering space, nurturing cross-cultural relationships and economic opportunity in our neighborhood.
Please explore our site to learn more about the project, and let us know what you think. We hope to see you at the market in July or volunteering with us at a planning meeting soon!
